Aw bless! The stripey one looks just like my Pixie-bob Tiggy, 11 months old last weekend. Tiggy's very vocal and even mutters when she moves off, and her chattering at the birds is most amusing π
Give them time, Brandie. Our 10-year old rescue cat Jerry wasn't at all happy when Tiggy arrived. She put a great deal of energy into building a relationship with him and suffered quite a few blows but now they are inseparable.

It's starting to look like the replication which keeled over last week did so because the passwords on the distributor were changed. If I've lost my entire Saturday because someone changed passwords without considering the impact, I'm going to be very, very, very unimpressed. We might need more pork chops. :w00t:
Is it just me or does anyone else struggle to see the difference:-D
π
And no moggies were injured in the production of this movie. π And, no... although probably more appropriate, moogie is not the word I was looking for. Chris will get it. π
Well there's moogies[/url] and then there's moogie which I had to move swiftly on from π

I'll probably be looking to get new kittens/cats later this year. My Siamese died late May, completely unexpected, out of the blue. One day she was fine, next day very sick, 2 days later dead.My remaining one seems to be getting pretty lonely.
That happened to one of my other cats, a few years ago. She was sick around Christmas, so Christmas Day I took her in to an emergency animal hospital. They had to put her to sleep. At least with my last cat, I knew it was coming. Had time to get used to it.
I'm having lots of fun trying to get everyone used to each other. Last night we let the kittens roam and sleep with us while the girls were locked up in the kittens' room to get used to their scent. This morning, Friendly Feral was hissing at everyone (including the other older cat) and the other cat was just plain depressed and not wanting to eat anything.
Sigh. I was hoping to set the kittens loose with the other two by the end of the week. It may not happen if I can't get the girls to stop overreacting.

I saw that a few weeks ago. I need to get my friend (who is a lego guy) to check into that.

OMG, I forgot that 24 hours of PASS started today!
June 24, 2015 at 10:58 am
Why, oh why does it have to be such a nice day out, and me stuck here at work...
I've gone for a walk around the campus to try to keep from dozing off at my desk (and get the blood moving again,) which really only makes things worse...

You could just take the day off. Of course, you risk to become jasona.unemployment π

Yes. Publisher and distributor are in different domains.
Somebody needs a boot to the head.
The person who designed it to have publisher & distributor in different domains (me) or the person who seems to have changed the password?
sLOW reply but in reference to the changed password.
Can't do much about different domains in some cases. But changing a password and not notifying is moronic.

So, been playing with using Extended Events to track use of deprecated features before we migrate to SQL2012. I'll admit to cheating and creating the session in SQL2012 then scripting it out and "tweaking" it to work in SQL2008R2. That part was easy. The fun part was figuring out how to query the XML data for what I want, rather than trying to read the XML directly.
Now to continue to putter around with xQuery / xPath to get it formatted even better...
Lol - working smarter not harder there π
As for the xQuery crap - I have a bunch of samples on my blog for various XE sessions if you want to "work smarter" some more.
I love the fact that the very first post to pop up on your blog when I checked, showed me how to pull out a value that I wanted in my results, in a way that I wanted it...
Now I'm playing around with improving the speed of the query itself by puttering around with an XML index...
Of course, I'm also now wondering if I might be better served to put the data from the XE session into my temp table in the format I'm looking for, rather than as the "raw" XML...
/Edit:
And now browsing deeper into your blog, I realized that it's where I started when I began working on my query...
π
Ain't life funny?
Lol - yes that is funny.
I would say that it is usually pretty fast to just dump into the temp table and then perform the xquery without xml index. But to parse first to put into temp table will usually slow down.

Nope. No fun at all. Especially no fun while hanging out with Jason. He & I don't get along even a little bit.
Not in the slightest:-D
