Are the posted questions getting worse?

Anybody have the mind reading apparatus? I have misplaced mine and could use it over here. http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic1696091-2799-1.aspx

Turned it on for a second, only returned gibberish and crashed, refuses to turn on again, think it got offended:crazy:

Even when in perfect condition and tuned never to take offense mind-reading equipment will not operate on the mindless, and may go into a sort of panic state. Having looked at the thead, I suspect that was what happened here.

I'm with Alvin on this one Sean - walk away. The OP's tardiness is Olympian to the point it almost looks deliberate. It's Friday. Beertime soon.

Agreed. I am just popping some popcorn now and watching others who may be brave to step over the stinking piles with imprints from my shoes. Beers are not nearly as close for me as they are for you.

I think I know what the OP wants, just not sure how the data is supposed to be queried to generate what the OP wants.

I'm glad I was off Friday. I recognize the question from something posted in the middle of last week. The OP doesn't seem to be listening to anyone. That kind of ignoring people who are trying to help makes me consider creating a black-list, something I really don't want to do.

I've found that looking things up on a black-list takes too much time. It's much simpler to look at the first or second post and see how it's going. It becomes readily apparent really quickly as to whether or not the OP has the gumption to be helped or not. I'll usually just move on if I think they can't. I'd rather spend the time on people that are more interested in getting help. It's like I said in the "Etiquette" article... "if you don't care, neither do I".

I tend to prod them more than I should to get information. I don't have a written down blacklist but there are certainly several names that raise red flags quickly and I am far less likely to help those people than others.

That's exactly what I meant. They've raised enough flags in the past and proven that they aren't really interested in learning. If I create a black-list, it'll be in my head (which is scary), but I've walked away from quite a few threads when people make it clear that they just don't care. I like helping people, but if they don't want help, it becomes an exercise in futility.
