Hey Steve! Where did you get pictures of my cousin?I never thought of you as having a strong feline side. 😀
How many people does it take to rescue a cat from two dogs stuck in a child gate in a hallway with a dog on each side of the gate?
42
Nice number 101010 / 52 / 42 / 2A

Actually, it took 5. Happened yesterday at our house. During tag team dog bathing one of my oldest daughter's dogs went after one of our cats. He got to the gate when my daughters other dog (who had already been bathed) came from the other direction. These are not small dogs. The cat escaped injury but was definitely shaken up (he was also my oldest daughters cat when she lived at home during Junior and Senior High School).
I got nipped by the cat and somehow hurt my right trigger finger. No one else was hurt.

Also watch out for the sun. You can get sun burn far easier at high altitudes than low. Take sun cream, use it liberally, even if the day is cold.Or cloudy. Yes, UV does go through clouds, especially in the mountains.
Ah the mountains, where I got a sunburn on a cloudy day even when wearing sunblock.

It could be 42. Or it could depend on the size of the dogs, the type of cat, the length of the hallway and the caliber of weapon involved. If the cat were an adult tiger, you'd need a large caliber to use if your escape plan doesn't work after the tiger eats the both chihuahuas involved. In a normal household situation, I'll go with Jason's answer: 42.

Steve, my brother is getting hitched on the 4th of July weekend in Breckinridge. I'm not sure we're going to be able to make it, but assuming we do go, is there stuff for a 3 yr old to do for several days that will preserve our (and his) sanity? I'll even take recommendations for Denver, since we could head back to the city after the 4th and fly out a few days later.we're not hikers or climbers, we're flat landers who are old and fat but have a kid. Museums/indoor waterpark are more our speed.
suggestions?
Three year old, Colorado Springs has Santa's Workshop. My kids loved going there from the time they could walk (my oldest now has a 3 year old, 18 month old, and 3 day old) and they still like going there.
We would get there before they opened and stay there until they closed.
Of course you also have Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs and the Denver Zoo up in Denver. Our kids like both.
My wife and I live in Arizona and when we travel to higher altitudes (such as Denver) we swear by a product called Aquagen Maximum Performance Oxygen. It oxygenates your blood system. We start taking it two days before we travel and find we rarely have shortness of breath. Research it and see if it is something you want to try/use.

Reflection of the snow, wind chill and cool breeze, perfect recipe for a sun burn, even in low cloud / fog conditions ( I know, spent 20+ years skiing in the summer:blush:).

So you survived a posting to Afghanistan only to be mauled by a feline on your return? Tell me there's no irony in that!
My thought question: Have you ever been told that your query runs too fast?
My advice:
INDEXing a poor-performing query is like putting sugar on cat food. Yeah, it probably tastes better but are you sure you want to eat it?
The path of least resistance can be a slippery slope. Take care that fixing your fixes of fixes doesn't snowball and end up costing you more than fixing the root cause would have in the first place.

How many people does it take to rescue a cat from two dogs stuck in a child gate in a hallway with a dog on each side of the gate?
It depends. After all, if two dogs are stuck in a child gate in a hallway with a dog on each side of the gate, the cat is probably in the next room with the door to the hallway closed and 0 people can do the job.
There is however a small chance that the cat is half way through the gate (cats are often thinner than children) and has its head in the mouth of the dog on one side and its tail in the mouth of the dog on the other side, and the dogs have good teeth and muscles, no person could manage to resue it, and that's a very different situationbut gives teh same answer: 0.
Maybe there are some cases between these extremes, and for tose cases I agree with Jason's answer, 42.
edit: Or, as Erikur said, 101010 / 52 / 42 / 2A. Or of course 1120, 222, 132, 60, or 46.
Maybe nicest are 101010, 1120, and 60 ?
