Assuming the Threadizens are aware of this since you're a giant bunch of nerds, but...

    Spock is dead.

    Leonard Nimoy passed away today.

    Didn't know this.

In Salt Lake City waiting for my last flight taking me home to Colorado Springs. I can't wait wait for this flight to already be in Colorado Springs. I am tired of flying for now.

You're almost home. Not long now and you'll hopefully be done with planes for a while. 😉

I think I am getting to understand what Gail goes through flying from South Africa to the USA. I have basically be travelling since 08:00 2/28/2015 Afghan time. It is 14:35 3/1/2015 in Salt Lake City and I don't get to Colorado Springs until about 17:08 3/1/2015. Add 11:30 to these times to figure out actual travel time.

Right now, almost isn't good enough. 😀

Yeah, that's fairly close to what my trips to Seattle are. Little more flying time I think, fewer layovers (1), little less timezone change (it's 10 hour time zone difference), so probably works out similar enough.

Congratulations and welcome home. I'm glad you're home safely. Now take some time to get over the jet lag and see people you missed while you were away. Have a great day and enjoy yourself.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

  • Thank you all for the welcome home messages. It is great to be back in the USA. You don't realize what you have until you don't have it any more. I actually enjoyed my time in Afghanistan, but I am extremely glad to be home and looking forward to the next 4 weeks off before going back to the normal 8 hour a day, 5 day week grind instead of the 12+ hour 7 days a week.
