Now I'm wondering who is brave enough, or ignorant enough, to try to pick on Gail?

Pick on, perhaps... Challenge her knowledge on any topic dealing with SQL or her professionalism. ummm... No.

The woman also studies martial arts and plays with edged weapons.
I'd rather take a technical thrashing, but it strikes me as suicidal either way.

Are we talking about our window washer friend here? No. It's someone who answers questions, not asks. (no one here, obviously)
Steve: Apologies in advance if this results in work for you. I did tell the person to take it up with you if he thought there had been a lack of respect or politeness.
Mail me if you need to discuss. Am going offline for the night.
Sorry to hear it. People are so thin-skinned. Unfortunately, in this medium, it is somewhat easy to read something as more offensive than it actually is or is meant to be. I know I've upset people before, usually when I'm trying to be funny.

Oh yay. 🙁Another email accusing me of personal attacks and damaging someone's public image by 'misleading' people about his statements.
Sometimes I wonder why I bother.....
That's always fun. I assume you disagreed with this individual's solution (I did read later posts) and offered reasons why. I often wonder why some people who offer solutions get upset when someone else disagrees and offers a better solution and takes the time to explain why the newly offered solution is better, which I know you do. I expect someone else to better the solutions I offer most of the time and I enjoy the opportunity I have to learn. I guess that's because I don't think I know it all already and I help others as much for my benefit as the people I help.
Yeah, when I'm getting corrected is when I learn the most. Please, no one hesitate (not that any of you would) to fix the stuff I get wrong.

I don't who's the target person (and I don't have to). Maybe a language problem? Sometimes words have different meanings in different languages.

'course in the US you're safer since she's about 500,000 miles, 6 planes and 5 elephants away from you :hehe:

I'll play it safe, just the same, Steve. 😉
You never know... she might be of those Zen archers. Walks out into her yard... tests the wind... senses the jet stream... puts a shaft into a suborbital trajectory and 26 hours later..... SSSSSSSSSKT! Struck dead as I wander out into the parking lot. :w00t:

LOL, probably a good plan. She is coming to PASS in November, but decide to look you up.
Last year we hit an aikido dojo one night. Hoping we can do the same this year.

Sounds more like Sinanju than just plain Zen...

[font="Verdana"]You bother because those who matter appreciate you. "Public image?" Meh. We don't do this stuff for "image".
You bother because you care. And I think that's the reason we respect you. (Well, that and your technical awesomeness 😀 )

Sinanju, haven't read that in a long, long time.

Sinanju, haven't read that in a long, long time.
I used to have the first 100 or so books. Definitely entertaining.
I can easily see:
"I am created Gila the Destroyer
Shatterer of Worlds
The Dead Night DBA
Brought to Life by the Master of Sinanju" as she points that bow up at the necessary orbital trajectory.

Chiun is indeed the little master, Gus.

INCOMING!!!
(now typing from beneath desk)
Fortunately I expect Gail is sleeping at this moment.

Ill never forget Chevrolet took several years to figure out why the Nova didn't sell well in Brazil.
They finally realized Nova meant 'no go' to the locals. :w00t:
