I don't want to condemn the updates to failure or anything, but the site seems to be performing well as a whole.

No time outs or errors yet, fingers crossed, knock on wood, salt over the shoulder etc.

I agree. Thank the folks that worked on this for us. This is MUCH better!

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

Most of the time it is better. Sometimes I have some delay when replying on a thread (or maybe it's just a network issue).

A few spam threads popped up this morning, but it's much better than a few days/weeks ago.

  • I am back. Had a major project get deployed 2-3 weeks ago. This was a complete top to bottom rewrite of our ecommerce system that took nearly 2 years.

Then I had knee surgery on Tuesday this week. Nothing serious, just a torn meniscus but it still sucks. Doctor says I should up and walking within a few days of surgery. I am sort of able to hobble around without crutches but thinking one more day or so. Then just have to rebuild strength so I can get back to the soccer field by Spring.

It's good to hear you're back and pretty-much no worse for wear. Take your time nursing the knee back to health. Glad the surgery went without complications.

It's good to have you back. Take care of that knee.

  • SQLBits have just announced their next conference - London Excel 4th - 7th March 2015.

  • Can someone please help me here? I am having a very bad week, so I'm about to lose my temper with Stewart because he wants to focus on security issues (which I know are not the problem).

I would appreciate someone taking a look at this thread and help me figure out what I need to put in the connection manager to make this work.

The problem does scream "permissions" though 😀

The problem screams "Brandie is having reading problems this week." Every freaking article I found on this issue glossed over the one thing I needed with a comment that I just couldn't parse because I've got "Month End Trauma Blues" right now.
