Gianluca, where are you located in Italy?
I'm in Conegliano, home of the Prosecco sparkling wine.
It's 50 km from Venice.

Welcome back Gianluca! So not that far from Pordenone, where I see a SQL Sat is being held next Feb

Yup. Also, it's not far from Parma, where we have a SQLSat in November and Ljubljana in December.
I'm speaking in Parma and I'm crossing my fingers for Ljubljana π

I want to go to at least one SQL Sat in Italy. November is probably a no go due to going to PASS, and December is so full at the moment with other things!
Although I will need to check how much, if any, of the presentations are in English first :-O

Parma, Venice...these cities are making me think of authentic Italian food. I cook and am a HUGE fan of real Italian, so now I'm hungry. I envy where you live.

There's still Pordenone in February π
As far as English presentations, usually the speaker asks if any of the attendees doesn't speak Italian and the rest of the audience is ok with English.

I just want to go to Italy someday. If it coincided with a SQL Sat that would just be a bonus. π

Nice.
There are many places I want to visit in Europe and America, I just had this (crazy) idea that I could just happen to have a long weekend break in Europe, at the same time as a SQL Sat, or a week in, say, Boston while there just happens to be a SQL Sat the weekend before or after π

Can one of the corruption guru's take a look at this post, http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic1627263-2799-1.aspx, and help the guy out. I asked a couple of questions, but I haven't dealt with corruption in quite awhile so my head isn't there anymore.

I'd love to come as well, and I know my wife would like to as well. If I can schedule something and English works, I'd like to come.

I'd like to eat my way across Italy some day, from Puglia up to around Emilia Romagna or Tuscany. If there were SQL Saturdays along the way, that would be a bonus, but not required.

I thought there was a forum for the Redgate tools but I can't seem to find it.What I was looking for was if there is a command line tool to convert a Redgate Backup file to a native SQL backup file. We use SQL Backup on our production servers but we don't always have Redgate Backup available to restore the backups to test VMs that we spin up at various times.
First, Welcome Back!
Second, slow is relative. Working from Afghanistan I really don't notice it much since our connection is relatively slow compared to most US/European connections.

Could you tweet @PaulRandal and ask him. I can't see how it could survive a rebuild.
