    Nothing much, QoDs been controversial, SQL Server will become Hadoop only, aliens are here, the world is flat and last but not least, the answer was 43 after all.

    Don't forget the two most important things. Koen still has the SQL Crystal Ball. The Thread got whacked and all attempts to restore order using DBCC Timewarp since then have failed.

    I gave it to Grant yesterday on the SQL Server Days.

    He has disguised it as a set of beer bottles, so don't let him fool you.

    Yeah. I had a presentation in the morning and one in the afternoon.

    Just went through the Guidebook. I didn't make it to either one of your presentations, sorry! I'd been hoping you were the person who gave the Star Trek themed talk, even though I disappointed him about the completeness of his data set after the talk.

    It may be in part that I tried to avoid the 2nd floor talks. I went to one and had to stand the whole time. My hips were killing me by the end. That doesn't excuse my missing the one on the 4th floor though!

    Top priority for the IT team, which manages dev, is reducing SPAM. They are looking at integrating with ASKIMET for rating comments, but I've also asked them to think about hiding posts that have links in them for people with < 10 posts.

    On the points, it's a low priority item now. There are a few other things with RG.com and SQL in the City that are more important.

  • I'll be heading back North tomorrow after a very informative five day BI course in London town. I'm not entirely sure whether I'll be more excited to see my wife or the brand spanking new smoker in the back of her car.

    Two things; one, I'm sorry for heading back towards the barbecue related posting that dominated the Thread a few weeks ago.
