Question: Explain what DBCC TimeWarp is. 😀
I have used that question during an interview. It is a fun one.

That is hilarious!!! Hopefully the response was something like "I would tell you but you seem like a nice guy and I am sworn with a blood oath to kill anyone else who knows the secret."

Between the spammers and crussell commenting on every single QOTD from the last 8 years there is next to nothing going on around here lately. I am concerned that many people have decided to go elsewhere. And all he says is "Thanks for the question."
Really? You want the points from posting that much?
Why yes!!
He probably even has another account that has been used to figure out what the correct answers are (like some of those "sme"s that haven't missed a single point). It's important to have all of those points so they can use it on a resume 😉
Now what is the point of that" Kind of pointless effort isn't it (excuse the pun)? Have you ever seen a resume which states SSC points on it?
😎
It doesn't have to be mentioned on a resume for potential employers to check it.
Guess you are right, just struggling with the idea of jitter being weighted on a resume. Don't take me wrong here, many of the points earned on this site are well earned but unless scrutinized, how can one tell the difference?
😎
I agree with you. The number of points, without knowing how the were earned, is not very meaningful.
On different note, I was just thinking about what would be an interesting interview question.

Commenting twice on most of them, too. It would be nice if he commented on old questions only when he had something useful to add to the discussion.
I'll refrain complain about content-free comments on current questions because that would upset far too many threadizens 😀 and anyway a timely "nice question" comment is maybe as much politeness as noise .

That addition makes it an "unfair" question because it's totally ambiguous: does JCI mean what Joe does or does it mean what many of us say about what Joe does? 😀 Now if I were Joe I could go into a rant about how ambiguously formulated questions demonstrate that you are an idiot who shouldn't be allowed to writed SQL, but I'm a great believer in asking questions that are "unfair" in that sense, so I won't.
