I believe this is what the experts describe as "leveraging my content" - an answer to a question on a SQL Server Central forum doubles as a blog post.
Have a good weekend, everyone!!!

it is. I do this all the time for many of my blog posts. I've also had people call this out in interviews because they can see how I help people and solve problems.

It's a good way to get content and help people.
As Steve said, it also gets brought up sometimes in interviews.

The impression I've gotten is that they already have a contract with NASA to ferry crew, it's just been waiting for the man-rated capsule to be completed and certified.Dang, I would *love* to either catch a ride on Virgin Galactic SpaceShip 2, a Dragon v2, or even the Vomit Comet...
One of those three might actually be in my price range...
Of course, if I don't mind going a bit more old-school, I can easily afford one of these rides:
π
Is it cheaper if you ride as tailgunner?
Got to tour one of these on the ground once, and a German one (can't remember which now, too long ago, think it was one of the the Junkers models, perhaps the 188). After all the documentaries and knowing the impact they had, seeing them in person was a shock. They're small!!! I can't imagine what it would be like to be airborne with a crew.
And OMG, the walkway from the cockpit/radio room through the bomb bay to the gunner's stations in the rear of the fuselage! It makes me quake in my shoes to think about crewmen crawling out there while airborne with the bomb bay doors open to free stuck release mechanisms, etc.
After seeing (and hearing) a B-17 and a B-24 make several low fly-bys over the downtown skyline for photos a few years ago, I can only imagine the deafening thunder of *hundreds* of those things passing overhead.
While it would be cool, I'd hate to be nearby if a sortie of this nature were coming. Ok for the adrenaline rush and peacetime type of flyover - but would hate to be near the target of that group if on an actual run.
Even with only two bombers flying overhead and being basically certain that they wouldn't be dropping any bombs, the noise of the engines made me want to run and hide. Of course, they were flying at about 1000 feet (304.8m) rather than many thousands of feet (or meters) as they did in actual bombing runs, but I suppose that the fear of what was coming when one heard the distant rumble of engines at that altitude would be terror enough.
Made my hair stand on end reading this. As a toddler with dad in the RAF we had a two-year tour in Gibraltar where we lived in one of the blocks of flats on the Gib side of the airstrip, Eastern Beach end. The flats are still there and easily visible on Boogle. Vampires and Sea Vixens used the base at that time - around 1962-3 - and the screaming racket their early jet engines made was astonishing. Funny thing is, you get used to it, even sleeping through half a dozen of them taking off, which shook the walls and made light articles on the kitchen counter dance to the edge.
Four years later we were at Kinloss in North-East Scotland, where a pair of Shackletons were dumped on hard standing near the inland end of the runway, just out of sight of the control tower near the other end. We used to scramble around those old planes looking for interesting bits to barter. They are a generation after the wartime bombers but you still had to practically crawl through parts of the plane to get from one end to the other.
