    Hrm, if you're serious with that comment, can you PM me with how it was misleading? (Also anyone else?) I'd like to make sure I don't repeat that error as I want to come up with more 'scenario' QotDs.

    Almost posted last night that site was up. But apparently we shouldn't have noticed until the official emails this morning. πŸ˜€

    Week before I am in Jersey - so weekend is still free! Yippee!

    I'm going to picking your brain in the next month or so about vacation spots, I'm planning to take a off week after Bits, Wales looks close. Never been there.

    Isn't everything close in the UK? πŸ˜€

    Depends on your definition of close and the road network. Roads in the UK are far from straight and as they tend to follow the lay of the land and in places go around pre-existing property. The general UK opinion I would say anything over 90 minutes is a decent drive and the journey wouldn't be made on without some planning around time.

    Great Britain (UK minus Northern Ireland) itself is about 8 hours east to west and about 16 hours north to south depending on your location and traffic. Telford being fairly central is advantageous.

  • Where I am currently working has the idea of a Town Hall meeting for all the perms.

    Last year that meant less than a dozen people were left on our floor.

    It was pointed out to me earlier that there is a meeting at the moment. I hadn't noticed mainly because only about 10 people have gone! Hadn't really got it to my head how many roles have be outsourced since Christmas.

    That's what I was going to say. I double checked on google maps and allowed the extra on purpose so as not to give a false impression. πŸ™‚

    You can drive through the whole country in a couple of hours. I've done it (by avoiding cities). Germany to France.

    Actually if you go from the the Norfolk coast, which is pretty much as far east as you can get, to Land's End, it's about eight hours east to west. I think Top Gear did a challenge trying to drive it between dusk and dawn.
