Gail, I wasn't planning on attending the WIT lunch, but you have me intrigued...

Please do come, even if it's to just laugh and point.

But Gail, I'd be too scared to laugh and point! πŸ˜‰

Well I've met Wayne Sheffield and Andy Warren tonight, that's two off the list! πŸ™‚

  • A whole bunch of Threadizens here at SQL Saturday Charleston. I'm sitting next to Wayne as I type this.

Every Threadizen who makes it to the Summit must track me down and say hi. I guarantee, I'll be on the run, so plan on trotting to keep up.

  • Grant, I have a "bucket list" of people from the Thread who I want to meet and other SQL people while I'm over here.

Met Wayne last night. Now in Andy warren's session, so cool to have met him finally. He liked the idea of the bucket list.

You don't count obviously! A I've already met you more than once! πŸ˜€

It must be really nice to have every company bugeting in step

They don't, really. Like so many other countries, many company's budget year is different than the calendar year. There's just enough of them (usually in the private sector) where it makes December a pretty good month to search for jobs. June works out for the same reason because a lot of companies also do the July to June fiscal year.

First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

I'm going the summit - Yay - will be my first. So looking forward to meeting a lot of you in person. Attending Paul's pre-con, really looking forward to that.

    Mine or Mr Randal's?

I don't think we've met before, so if you meant my session, make sure you say hello.

Even though I'm not attending the event, I'm still curious to know what Gail had planned. Please post when you have a minute.
