Hotel booked for SQLBits. Almost forgot all about that so a nice refreshing 20 minute walk in the morning!

I'm in Castle Marina Premier Inn, which according to Google maps is 2.6 miles away by car or a 45 minute walk πŸ˜›

    Nice.

So I take it you will jogging there and back then? πŸ˜€

I hate distances like that. Too far to walk, to short a drive for the car to get warmed up, engine and heater that is!

Might try booking there this weekend. I stayed a couple of nights at a Premier Inn 10 miles away at East Midlands airport recently and in Birmingham two weeks ago and they were both memorable - great staff, awesome grub, perfectly acceptable rooms.

I most certainly will not be jogging! I don't know how I'm getting back and fourth though. . . I can't justify driving unless the weather is terrible because it's too close, but I've never been to Nottingham so a walk will probably just involve me getting lost πŸ™‚

Touch wood, I've not stayed in a bad one. I use them whenever I need to visit a client, or visiting family, or having a night out, or weekend away etc etc

Well you could always join Steve Jones as he does like his morning run! Only joking. That will be an interesting walk back if you are planning on getting "involved" with the evenings activities πŸ˜‰

I would have thought there will be a few people staying there so a car / taxi share might be on the cards.

Not been to that part of Nottingham, so no idea how easy it is to get lost around there.

But Chris will keep you company at least!

Not sure how it will pan out yet. With a couple of good mates in the immediate area and a nearby pub boasting 180 different whiskies[/url], it's a tough choice πŸ˜›

Does 30 miles constitute nearby? In that case, I'm staying next door to the conference!

Sure you want to sample all of those whiskies the night before a presentation? :w00t:

13.9 miles. You have to like your whisky.

I can find at least one person that would not only agree with you, but would print this forum post off and wave it in my face whenever I sat down to play with my home lab πŸ˜‰
