I've got a poster over at AskSSC that is utterly confusing me. He's either very unclear, or I'm very obtuse or some combination of the two. If anyone with an account over there can please take a look at this, I'd appreciate it. But please, let's just be helpful, not critical.

About 2-4" of snow last night, but blowing hard. I have 2-3 ft sandbars in the driveway.
School cancelled.

I feel your pain Steve. We have been getting snow here more like what you are used to in Colorado. We have had close to 2 feet in the last 6 days. School is cancelled yet again today. Our office even closed for a couple of days. I hope the storm you had last night does not hit us.
The snow piles in the driveway yesterday were almost 4 feet high thanks to the snowplows keeping the streets clear. :w00t:

I haven't done anything with CLR in a few years. Now I need to create JSON files and CLR looks like the best way. Anyone have a link to a good CLR tutorial site? Or should i be buying a book?

When you encounter a problem, if the solution isn't readily evident go back to the start and check your assumptions.

Haven't seen a lot on it. I know Adam Machanic and a few people use it, but don't see much written.
I did run across this: http://www.olcot.co.uk/sql-blogs/creating-cards-in-trello-via-the-rest-api-by-using-a-sql-clr

wow we use Trello in our shop, and were talking about automating the creation of cards in parallel to our internal work order system.
this is well timed, thanks Steve

Cool, now you ask a question so I can get a perfectly timed answer. 🙂
I actually think I have a good start, but need to install or activate AJAX on the machine.

YW, let me know if it works. Passed it along to our group internally as well.

Do you know how I get either System.Runtime.Serialization.Json or System.Web.Script.Serialization installed on my machine? I've run across implications that they're part of AJAX. Are they? Will they be available if I install AJAX or is there more I need to do?

They are available in Framework 4 and 4.5. You have to include the System.Runtime.Serialization assembly.

I believe it is also available in 3.5, but I can't include the reference in a C# or VB database project. I can in a Windows Forms project though. I think I need to re-register ServiceModel.exe

I tried WCF projects in both VS 2010 and 2012 and they all have the assembly included in the template.
What type of project are you working with, Stefan?
