And then some one else posts this in the same forum thread I reported:

I almost have more respect for spam, as it usually at least tries to fit in. Ugh.

Really? You have to be kidding!

    Link?

That forum thread has been removed.

If the Mayans were so good at predicting the future, wouldn't there still be Mayans left?

Since there are, does that convince you they were good at predicting the future?

It does for me. I am digging out my bunker now.

I guess a lot of people who write code will be safe. They've dug such a deep hole with their code that nothing can get to them. πŸ˜‰

Sorry Steve, I *HAD* to steal your picture and post it on Twitter.

Merry Christmas everybody if the Mayans are wrong.

    Otherwise... oh, who cares? πŸ˜€

No worries, another one for you

Heh... ironically, the little red "X" might be the most appropriate picture of them all. Before all this computer stuff was available, I used to cross out each day gone by with a little red "X".

  • Well, unless the Mayans went by Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5 or so) the world hasn't ended...

After all, right now it's tomorrow in Australia / Japan / China...

    😎

  • To all who are lucky enough to survive tomorrow's doomsday I wish a horendously overpartying festive season! Just don't get yourselves into trouble!

I am on my way out for a hopefully restful and enjoyable holiday from tomorrow for a few days, then back at work a few days. But then it is off to the Kalahari desert for the first time since 1992, camping and 4x4-ing (not that I know how to drive a 4x4). I know it's gonna be horribly hot and humid, but what the heck, I know where to find Lynn's tent for a little refreshment.

Cheers guys and gals! See you next year!

If I remember right, where they were mostly in GMT-6 with some overflow into GMT-7. I think this means that as of now (00:40 GMT) the EotW is still somewhere between 5 hours and twenty minutes and an hour more away (that assumes that the date is the last day, not the first day after the last day - after all, if the last day is the last day there can't be a day after it, can there?

Last notification I got about thread messages was between 17 and 18 hours ago; there are about 10 messages on the thread since then. So I guess that's much the saqme as you (I haven't looked at other threads yet; too late at night now, in this time zone).

I checked a couple of other threads i had posted on and I didn't receive notifications about follow-up posts on them as well.

  • I checked the SQL Servers, but everything seemed to be in order there. I suspect the mail servers had some issue.

Looks like they're working as I just got about 150 emails.
