Are the posted questions getting worse?

  • Sorry skipped straight to my 2cents. (Nearly time to go home :-))

Maybe this has already been pointed out and I'm just proving the point of many comments already raised in this post......

A lot of people using these forums don't necessarily speak english very well.

Microsofts explainations tend to be long, tedious, unclear with snazzie words. I find myself looking for other resources before using BOL or technet (And of course posting my own question). Just looking a simple bit of code with simple consice comments is often like looking at a picture.....

I guess this is the result of being internationally popular!!

Also a lot of people just don't know how to test out basic concepts or don't even have a testing environment.

Jeffs "Asking guide" is also very good at helping people know just how easy it is to test a specific function or whatever. Hopefully people will take the time to read his article....

    We are all born noobs.

Welcome to the thread of random musings, mutterings and other such nonsense where the topic of the day is whatever anyone wants it to be.

What's just as bad as a poorly asked question?

  • It might be four years old but it is still (very much) active.

It also has its couterpart forum here.

Heh... yeah. Totally misplaced attempt. Wrong place. πŸ˜›

Things were quiet due to Santa Claus:

Why can't you be the crazy pretty guy?

Or is that the pretty crazy guy?
