Are the posted questions getting worse?

  • Great! Something I didn't yet work with so you have your first student 🙂

First, I just have to know; did it hurt?

I think it would be an awesome idea. You need to go for it!

[font="Verdana"]It sure did. Today I haz the stupid (head cold with a dose of oinking just to alarm everyone) to make up for it.

Thanks everyone. I will have a bit of a planning session over the weekend and come up with a series of design and architecture topics for articles.

I think one theme I have seen over and over again in my career is "what was this idiot on when designing this? Maybe there's just not a good introductory course available on practical, real world database design? So let's see what I can do. I have read some good books, but it's harder to get into a book than it is something just in the article length.

As for data architecture, it still seems to be justifying its existence, which is silly. Just like everything else, you need a big picture of how everything fits together.

    Anyway, now I have a project! :w00t:

...I know that I will not be the only one who think of Lynn and Barry 😛

  • That was a good one... may the 4th be with you....:-) :hehe:

Now for something totally the same...

How many people, besides myself, here on The Thread saw the original theatrical release of Star Wars when it was first released?

  • Yes. I saw it 5 times during the next two weeks and saw some new detail I had missed on the times before. Bought the soundtrack as soon as I could find it. I'll bet the opening overture is the most recognizable music on the planet.

And then again, I might be wrong ...

  • Okay, I started a formal poll.

As much as I like Star Wars, I sincerely hope that Beethoven's Ninth or Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" is still more popular. But then again, I'm Austrian, so I'm probably biased.

    Nite,

    Me!

I wasn't that blown away, but then I was always into SF and not fantasy.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
