According to http://www.antipodemap.com/ that puts you just outside Salamanca, Spain - I don't think that's quite right somehow. I think you may need a boat...
He might have meant as far away from civilization as possible, in which case New Zealand might have been more accurate... 😛
No, it would be pretty inaccurate, since the best known measure of "farness from civilisation" is the reciprocal of the distance (in miles) from 39°N 77°W. :hehe:
