I think I'll just chill out in the threads I'm already in after reading a few that I've bypassed due to time. "Much ado about nothing" is something I haven't read in a while, but it seems like appropriate weekend reading material now. Hm, or maybe I'll just go see the play...

On a totally unrelated note, I'm preparing my slide deck for my first session as a speaker.
I never thought it could be that hard!
I know exactly what I want to present, but it's damn hard to sum it up in 30 slides!
Teaching with a ready-made set of slides, when somebody else has already checked the right timing is much easier.
Also, when I start thinking of all those people staring at me, a shiver runs on my back.
I hope everything goes fine...

Really tempted to go really sarcastic at this point. "Oh noooes. 2 pages displaced!"
 Yes. I hope people have their popcorn handy.

Hey, any comments on what is posted here?My first reaction was, "LOL!". Posted a more serious comment.
Thank you, you saved me the trouble.
No worries - I got a good laugh out of it.
I do love it when someone rocks up on a thread and says, "Er, you do realize that [misconception] don't you?"
Up for some more misconception correcting?
Yes, what did I get wrong this week?
Where shall I start?

You'll suck, the whole thing will be a disaster, and they will all point and laugh at you.

If that happens, I'll run away and hide as far as I can.
Uh, wait... isn't that New Zealand?
C'mon Paul, get the guest room ready! 😀

According to http://www.antipodemap.com/ that puts you just outside Salamanca, Spain - I don't think that's quite right somehow. I think you may need a boat...

He might have meant as far away from civilization as possible, in which case New Zealand might have been more accurate... 😛 Either that or it's a Mediterranean SQL Cruise... Oh, that could be fun.
I personally have a few penguins setting me up a guest house for my next case of 'oh god that went horribly wrong I'm leaving'. I'm not a real big fan of the cold though so a few local polar bears are going to move in with me and breathe heavily.
They said they'd keep me real warm inside them... I do hope they just are having ESL issues and meant 'between' them. Guess we'll see.

I dunno. What did you get wrong this week?
I was hoping you would tell me. Time to start a new misconception and see if anybody will catch it.

I was working on a massive threadizen post and... lost it due to the vagueries of IE 10.
Short form: Is there a yearly threadizen gathering that I'm unaware of. If no... what's the interest in having someone organize it?
