I don't see how the mind can jump to the sewer based on his first response. You must really be having one of those days 😉

I agree, but "Define "take care of"..." really sent my mind to the sewer.

For those that don't get the simple-talk newsletter, Grant has an awesome article published in today's newsletter. Catch it at http://www.simple-talk.com/sql/performance/the-seven-sins-against-tsql-performance/L[/url].
I saw it and it is a good one. I looked based on the title because I am always looking for articles that can be easily consumed by non-database professionals that write database code I eventually need to support. When I saw Grant penned it I was excited to read it. There seems to be a formatting issue, at least on my iPad, where the Multi-statement UDF section is not bolded so skimming through initially it looked like only six sins. If I have the opening to pass this one along I will, and will probably tack on Scalar UDFs as an honorary sin as that is an especially relevant problem in the current shop's codebase.

Don't sweat it, Lynn. My mind was in the gutter when I asked for a definition.

On a lighter note; with the help of my oldest daughter, my middle daughter is going to be attending Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ starting this fall!
Once there, she already has plans to work on lowering her costs for future years.

Yes, yes it is. I am now making plans to come visit her over Labor Day weekend since I won't be the one taking her down to school later this month. Her mom is going to do that.

Why do people get upset when you can't provide an answer based on vague requirements? We would love to help you - can you provide some sample data?
Really??? You call this help? This site used to be a great place to get help and information. :Whistling: :w00t: 😛 😉
Actually, I got a good chuckle from your response.
Me too. Gotta stop eating while reading the thread.

I don't know, but I'm really getting tired of questions wanting answers but not getting enough information to for me to even start to give a decent answer. And I feel like a broken record, a broken record, a broken record ... every time I have ask for more information. Really, if people would read their own question and ask themselves if they could actually provide an good answer based solely on what is in their post they might realize why they are asked to provide more details.
