Two good sessions last night at the Cambridge User Group.
David Sutcliffe and Grant Finchley - he's not that scary in person you know... Just don't tell him that!
Don't think I'll be able to get dbltbl (DibbleTibble) out of my head. And I finally found out what a Rebar is, no we don't have them in the UK as far as I know, well we have them, otherwise things would collapse :-), but we don't seem to call them that. But we do get a lot of Row By Agonising Row queries! It was in the offices of some well known third party software company that should remain nameless (he he)... Nice spread, and for a change not a single pizza in sight!
Now looking forward to SQL in the City on Friday in London. Looks like I'll be catching up with quite a few folks from SQLbits and the SQLSkills courses from earlier this year. And it's always good to catch up with Steve.
But I do have the slight matter of going to see Queen, well Brian and Roger with Adam Lambert tonight first...
Really shouldn't be at work, starting to get all excited... But no bouncing yet in the office!

Thanks for not giving away ddltbl. I need to be able to use that for a little while yet.

I've followed it simply to see if he eveer acknowledges his mistake in using the old join types.
I ran across a colleague here still using the old way as well, can you give me a solid reason she shouldn't, something that will convince her to change?

Guess that'll only happen once it is deprecated and was really purged out of the product. Which didn't happen in 2012 although I kind of expected it. At least the old-style outer joins are gone.
