Heh heh funny! Well done Brandie.
Reminds me - we had pest control round last friday. There was a honey-bee nest in the cavity wall of the main bedroom, right over the bed. The mesh ventilator was clogged up with "bee stuff" so they couldn't get in but they made a hell of a racket if they were disturbed by something banging the wall. The smell was nice though.
I thought bee-man would be able to round them up with smoke and quiet words, but no, he blocked up the indoor ventilator and the outdoor airbrick and pumped in something unpleasant. I was hoping for some home-grown honey.

Beemen are EVIL! @=)
EDIT: Still, that surprises me. I thought the experts were trying to save and relocate the honeybee nests on account of so many of them dying.

Now, onto the proving of the Higgs boson... π
Never stop learning, even if it hurts. Ego bruises are practically mandatory as you learn unless you've never risked enough to make a mistake.

Someone please explain to me why donut shops insist on placing single donuts in the bag icing side down. I don't want my icing sticking to the bottom of the bag. Can't they just turn the donut right-side up????

Sigh... all that chocolate gone to waste.

Hey, guys. I'm going to post something and if it's inappropriate, please let me know.
A lot of people have been displaced due to the recent East Coast flooding and the Colorado (and western states) wildfires. The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund is doing its best to help these people out, but they could always use more funds, especially from those of us who can't make it out there to volunteer with services.
I've got a random drawing contest going on at my blog to encourage people to donate to the fund. I'm offering a $20.00 Musa Publishing gift certificate (buys a lot of ebooks at Musa) to encourage people to donate (and post proof of donation).
If you could spread the word around, I would appreciate it. And if anyone wants to offer up a SQL book or something as part of the encouragement, that too would be welcome. But mostly I'm trying to spread the word. Here's the link to my blog: http://brandietarvin.livejournal.com/58628.html

Because they're pissed you didn't order a dozen. Plus, they probably grabbed it from the top with their little wax paper thingy
