Any one know if those spreading Colorado wild fires are threatening Steve's home or the horses? Any one hear from Steve on twitter or whatever?http://news.yahoo.com/colorado-fire-near-pikes-peak-forces-11-000-014551591.html
He's been on twitter, announcing articles and the like, but I don't know if that's automated. Last public and obviously personal tweet from him was yesterday.
Closest fire to Steve I would say is the Waldo Canyon Fire. That one is only a few miles from me, in fact my office is only 2 miles from the be prepared to evacuate area along Centennial Blvd. My wife, or I should say ex-wife and a friend had been hiking in the canyon just a few hours before the fire started.
So, right now, I say Steve and his horses (or should we say his wife's horses) are safe.
Yeah, things are a mess around here these days. Looking at a map, it looks like Denver's almost surrounded by fires. I'm safe, but be carefull out there Lynn - i sure hope the fires don't get too close to you!
I'm just glad I don't live in Woodland Park. With I-24 closed it is now a 2.5 hour drive to get to Colorado Springs. Not sure if that is going south through Canyon Cit or norhtward.

...Might need a third version for that kind of thing: "NULL3"...
Maybe you could name it BULL and then you could have a tristate
value, NULL or BULL
😀
Far away is close at hand in the images of elsewhere.
Anon.

Last I asked, Steve said he, the family, the horses, and the ranch were well out of the reach of the fires. That was last week, though.
Stay safe, Lynn.

0-1 column instead of BIT.Don't take the word BIT in your mouth. JC is watching!
Does anybody else agree with me that there should be a BOOLEAN data type as in other languages? I used it in PASCAL and xBASE (I guess) and it works wonders for these cases.

What would be the difference between BIT and BOOLEAN?

So the BOOLEAN would be 1 or NULL? How is that substantially different from IF myBit = 1 THEN

WOW that really stinks!!! Wish there was a way to recoup the poor influence. Maybe Amazon will be able to remove poor reviews because of the glitch? That would go a long way to helping resolve an otherwise crappy situation.

Huh, I'd have figured Amazon would be using some of their insane profits to be checking that the files were correct. They want to be publishers now, you'd think they'd put the effort in.

You won't even have to find a lake or the ocean to do either. @=)
Debby is still hanging out, Grant. Your weekend may be ruined, but keep an eye on the weather to make sure.

Stefan,
The BOOLEAN data type would only have two values: TRUE or FALSE. Not 0, 1 or NULL, just TRUE or FALSE. This is why it would be simpler to write:

DECLARE ProcessedFlag BOOLEAN
ProcessedFlag = FALSE
.
IF NOT ProcessedFlag THEN
BEGIN
.
.
.
ProcessedFlag = TRUE
END
/* */
SELECT CustID, CustName, OrderNo
FROM PurchOrders POs
WHERE POs.HasBeenApproved

This is only my opinion.
