Quite an interesting day. I gave my two weeks notice and was basicly told that I would not need to come back. Not that I don't mind, it means not having to drive to Denver for the next two weeks, but now I need to see if my new employer will be able to let me start early. I was going to start on March 12th, but now I'd like to start sooner if I can.

Any way, I was offered and accepted a new position with a company in Colorado Springs. It is a full time permanant position so I won't have to carry insurance via Cobra any more. YEA!!

    Congrats on the new job!

You certainly have a lot going on in life these last few months!

I'm being deliberately a little vague, see if more information on the scenario presents itself. Can't say I'm optimistic.

Data file growing usually means that there's been a lot of data added recently.

    haha! :hehe:

It becomes rather scary when seen in context with his/her other posts:

    Oh my. That's seriously frightening.

Or it is a psychologist doing his/her research on pain tolerance of a sizeable DBA population.

Amusingly, that reminds me of one of the more common scam issues in EVE Online. The scam artist claims to be doing research on trust between strangers for a psych degree, asks people to send in-game money to him, which he will return with some added amount. Of course, none gets returned. Lots of n00bs learn a lesson on that one, about trust between strangers even.

This one obviously is (on another site):

    interview questions

    I especially like:

<his e-mailaddress> pls send these questions with answers and u r friend

I wonder how he managed to get so many questions. If he doesn't know any answer after 5 questions, I would've already kicked him out.

Need an answer? No, you need a question

I think every game has those.

The one I play has a scam 'money doubling'. The guy will offer to double your money. He'll start with small amounts, you trade him 10k, he trades back 20k. Then he'll ask for a larger amount, you trade him 1 million, he trades back 2 million. Then he'll offer to double something like 10 million, he's got the other player's trust so they trade him 10 million and he logs out.

    Pre-interview technical test maybe.

Sounds like it all worked out for the best.

A break to clear the mind too.

Many times in IT, let them go as soon as you know is a risk reduction move.

Not any kind of reflection on they can do without you.

Best wishes on your new adventure.

They do that one in EVE too, of course.

They recently had a 1-billion ISK (the unit of money) pyramid scheme come to light in the game, even. Biggest single-scam rip so far.
