BTW, Google indexes scarily useless things: 😉Wow. It's a Googlewhack too.
Uh. I didn't know what a Googlewhack is.
Interesting neologism...

I had to look that word up. It's not that new though, been around at least 10 years...http://www.davegorman.com/projects_googlewhack_adventure.html

a Google whack (as originally defined) is to enter 2 words into Google and get exactly 1 link in response. Since Google then cached the Google Whacks, as soon as you said you found one online, it could no longer be used as a Google whack.

As someone with lots of DBMS experience, but new to SQL Server, I have found the SSC community to be an invaluable resource. I try to use BOL to find answers, or at least show me how to phrase my question so that no one will have to waste time deciphering it. I remember this from something I read long ago: "to ask a truly intelligent question requires that you already know 90% of the answer."It's that last 10% that is the hardest and the SSC community has always stepped up on any question I've asked. Not just answering questions at hand, but proposing alternate information sources and tips on best practices, and ... the list goes on.
Thanks to all of you for putting up with the aggravation; some of us appreciate it very much.
Ah, we're back on topic?
Welcome to THE THREAD!

I’m starting to get a little bit worried whenever I dig in my backyard now, since the last time when I dug up a tombstone (the carrots, btw, didn’t do too well.)Steve, just to let you know I really enjoyed reading that.
Thanks Paul. I don't get the chance to write much these days, and I appreciate positive comments when I do.
Steve.

The reply to the suggested solution is a bit worrysome though.
Thanks for support, but can you write sql select for me, please! Thank you.

I never reply to anything without at least a basic description in the subject line.

That is hilarious. I would love to be there when the prof asks them to explain their work.

Uneventful. Sadly, I don't think Profs care as much as we would like them to.

Congrats to Gail for passing the 30,000 points limit (see attachment).
Unfortunately, I was a bit slow, so I was only able to take a screenshot at 30,008, which was about 30ms later than the actual event 😀 😉

I hope tests are a bigger part of the grade than homework.
Must have been the 3rd table that caused the confusion.
Book only showed 2 in an example.

With three tables in the join, how can I write that triangle in code? Worse, what if more tables get added, how do i create a polygon in tsql?
