    Maybe you can do this?

If we had ever met in person, you would not need to even ask 🙂

    Is that a "yes"?

BTW, they look kind of cool. Skis on your boots and the bike. I want to try it sometime.

I wish it were a "yes" ::smooooth:

It is something I would like to try, but with amazingly comprehensive personal insurance.

  • I wish I could attend all the international SQL Saturdays. That would be so much fun.

I have been thinking about testing remote presentation at some U.S. Saturday's though, and expanding that as an offering to the international events if they're interested.

As long as that's the only thing strapped to the skis, that could be fun!

There are snowmobiles with V8 engines. Videos on YouTube.

    Now THAT would be fun!

That's too bad I was looking forward to seeing you there.

Well we have already met once in Boston, so I think it's only fair that for our next meeting you travel to NZ :w00t:

Actually at some point that one area of the world I would like to travel to, but I don't see it happening in the near future unless I can get a job that will pay for it and for my family to come along as well since I'd only travel that far for a three week stay at least.

    But you can ski?

I tried snowboarding once (in a supervised inside environment[/url]) and that was enough to convince me that I have no natural affinity for snow whatsoever. I was horribly rubbish. I would break stuff skiing.

    Maybe you can do this?

I had a 3 ski version of that when I was a kid (during the ice age :-D). The funny thing is that I found you can hit trees just as hard with 3 skis as 2. 😛

Anyone else losing CR/LFs when they copy paste code off the site recently? I've had the problem in anything in a code="", plain or SQL.

EDIT: I can quote and copy just fine, can't do it from the thread directly.

I haven't tried anything in the last few days, but I've had that problem for a very long time. Found that pasting to Word or Wordpad first, then to SSMS maintains the breaks. I assumed that it was missing either the CR or the LF (or both) and Word knew how to interpret it but SSMS didn't. Of course since I haven't tried lately, I may just be flapping my gums and my issues might be completely unrelated.

    Chad

Yep... it started right after they made the latest change a couple weeks ago.

I can do that, it's the landing that's the tricky part...

Nah. Landing's easy, just don't exceed escape velocity (about 7 miles per second). Landing in such a way that you can walk away from it is the actual trick.

As a couple of pilot friends of mine are fond of saying, "Take offs are optional, landings are mandatory."

  • I'm about to register for PASS 2012 (I have to register now as I'm paying for myself and it doesn't get cheaper as it gets nearer) and I was wondering who from SSC may well be there.

I met Steve at SQLBits in Liverpool last year and I'll be better prepared next time - I'm taking sunglasses. Everything I had read about the shirts is true.
