Oooh, a palindrome! Nice. It's also the first five binary digits of 10001001 - a number I seem to recall has special significance to you ๐
Yes, I do have a fondness for that number.
Ran into it again over the weekend watching Flash Forward. Wondering if it's accidental or intentional (and no, I don't want someone spoiling the rest of the season)
Anyone read the book?
There's a book? Series based off book or book based off series?
Series based off the book. It was published in 1999 by Robert J. Sawyer.
Is that the same Robert J. Sawyer who wrote Hominids?

Congratulations, Jack!
Cool, I didn't even know I had made it to 10000. I was shooting for it, but not really tracking it.

Ah... got it now. Thanks, Paul -- when we get together, I am buying. I hope you will make it to the MVP Summit 2012.Thanks! Though I decided not to attend the MVP summit, after quite some deliberation. Main reasons: I'm pretty fully committed work-wise at the moment; the total cost of attending is quite significant; and it's summer here and not-so-summer in Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond.
That's too bad I was looking forward to seeing you there.
You too Steve, it's been too long since we've been at the same event.

Anyone else losing CR/LFs when they copy paste code off the site recently? I've had the problem in anything in a code="", plain or SQL.EDIT: I can quote and copy just fine, can't do it from the thread directly.
I haven't tried anything in the last few days, but I've had that problem for a very long time. Found that pasting to Word or Wordpad first, then to SSMS maintains the breaks. I assumed that it was missing either the CR or the LF (or both) and Word knew how to interpret it but SSMS didn't. Of course since I haven't tried lately, I may just be flapping my gums and my issues might be completely unrelated.

Somebody else want to take a look at this? http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic1240364-392-1.aspx
He is trying to match some transactions and I stumped how to even begin. The logic behind what defines a match is a bit strange. Maybe one of you folks will think of something I haven't.

But you can ski?I tried snowboarding once (in a supervised inside environment[/url]) and that was enough to convince me that I have no natural affinity for snow whatsoever. I was horribly rubbish. I would break stuff skiing.
Maybe you can do this?

I can do that, it's the landing that's the tricky part...

Anyone can fly. You just throw yourself at the ground and miss.

Nah. Landing's easy, just don't exceed escape velocity (about 7 miles per second). Landing in such a way that you can walk away from it is the actual trick.

Well we have already met once in Boston, so I think it's only fair that for our next meeting you travel to NZ :w00t:
