Are the posted questions getting worse?

    Have had a discussion with Aaron Bertrand about case-sensitivity recently.

    You knows he's super-anti-underscores?

    Yes I do. I've had that discussion with him as well. We agree to disagree on that one.

    Same here (though I will happily use any convention that makes sense, in reality).

    I've never tried to use an anti-underscore. Is that an overscore? Or a strikethrough? 🙂

    Come to think of it, a super-anti-underscore must be like super-script, so it'd be above already, so I guess that's an underscore over the letters that removes a space? :w00t:

    Overscore :

    Montréal Canadians : 1

    Well that's what it feels like anyways as soon as they're 1 goal behind this year (except for the last 2-3 games).

    Is it just me, or is SQL code prettifying (specifically colours) broken on the site at the moment?

    We had an upgrade from Google last week (we use some of their code) and it was causing issues in the forum. I think it's fixed now.

  • I see lots of comments regarding post counts... Does everybody have a target? I have never thought about it at all.

    When I get time post some thing, Thats it. 🙂

    Aren't you a published fiction author???

    Why are you so surprised :hehe:

    No, no targets here (though I'll take a screenshot of max_smallint when that happens)

    You've had your goal to hit 3 000, remember??

    As for me, no, no goals in mind. But I like seeing myself in the top 5 monthly poster.

    To me it means I'm doing a lot for the community.

    Especially challenging when there's 1-2 "ghosts" who've just answered 800 qotd in 1 week to prep for something. :hehe:

    Would be so funny if the site broke and all of a sudden because of that, no thread you ever participated in could load.

    Talk about weird, unplanned DR :w00t:.

    When I was running up my post count I tried to have 10 posts a day. Not counting posts to the THREAD, follow-ups to my initial posts, and marking posts as duplicates. I was in the top 5 pretty much all the time then. Now I post when I have time and are motivated, or not that often. I need to get back to it because it spurred blog posts and learning.

    @set Snobby = On;

    Ex-squeeze me. My fiction does not "waste time." It is Art (with a capital A, even). True Art is never a waste of anyone's time as its edification capabilities enhance our cultural zeitgheist.

    @set Snobby = Off;

    I have this image in my head of me wearing a monocle and top hat while holding cane in one hand and a cuppa in the other.

    Oh, FYI: A Career Guide to Your Job in Hell on Kindle is free today! It's a weekend special and I think today is the last day you can get it. Check it out at: http://www.amazon.com/Career-Guide-Your-Hell-ebook/dp/B004LROKH2

    I would love to hear reviews if you happen to pick it up.

    You will hit in a year I guess... 🙂

    Rene, The target of 3000 was a race between the thread and me.. 🙂 And I won. After that the Thread ran away and left me far far behind. 🙂
