    Careful what you wish for!

BTW that counts for maybe 8-10% of my work. But it offsets what I do by e-mail & other sites!

You sure you want all non-contributing posts deducted from the total shown?

Likewise. Then add in SQLTeam, MSDN (though I don't post there much any more), stack overflow and related sites (again, not much lately), and twitter.

Hmmm... It will bring down my total to few hundred but I am fine... Yup, no issues. :Whistling:

They are out-of-scope to SSC. 😛

(But highly appreciate your contributions there)

And? Your point is what? That nothing other than SSC matters? Matters to who? You? Steve? Users?

It seems you are so much worried about counts. I am surprised (shocked is right word here). :w00t:

No dude, YOU are. Bitch all you want but I've been in your shoes so I know it when I see it (that's why I can easily call you on your sh1t).

Nothing wrong with that as long as you keep evolving towards helping others and forgetting yourselfs (which you have done well so far).

Nice resolution if you want to take it on.

I couldn't care two hoots about counts, here or elsewhere. You are the one who wants the 'non-contributing' counts excluded and is arguing about what is in and out of scope for SSC.

If I cared about counts I'd go and make pointless posts on every single thread here. Would get me a few hundred more a month probably and contribute nothing of any worth to anyone.

Points, counts, forum status, etc. Worthless.

I care that people with problems receive useful assistance and advice that isn't going to lead them to do something silly.

And that's why she's an MVP and has a fair shot a exceptional DBA of the year at some point in her career.

Jeff and Gail are made from the same stuff.

Edit : I was going to say "same mold" but somehow it didn't look right. :hehe:

  • @Remi: It’s pretty much insulting and I am ignoring you for a long time. I don’t think I have said anything insulting to anyone, especially you Remi. If Gail is hurt she can talk to me directly. I don’t think she needs any advocate especially YOU.

@Gail: I am sorry if I said anything offensive. I believe I didn’t, still I am saying sorry. I appreciate your contributions & passion for SQL Server very much. Few of SSC contributors are my role model & you are one of them. I don’t have any reason to insult you.

Nah. I'm not a DBA remember (it's not the 'exceptional consultant of the year' award). In the first year one of my colleagues was talking about nominating me, but I don't think he did. The second year I judged the competition, don't feel it's fair to enter (even ignoring the consultant/DBA thing) when I know what the judging criteria are.
