Are the posted questions getting worse?

What kind of teacher would laugh at a six-year old's dream (at least to his face)?

    Cameron Diaz?

If I recall correctly, one of the finalists wants to be in space because, as a six-year old he said such a thing and was laughed at by his teacher. I'm going to vote for him just for that. What kind of teacher would laugh at a six-year old's dream (at least to his face)?

I watch few of reality shows (off course forced by family). Hope it’s not a stunt to get more votes.

  • You two are far more devious than I - but now I'm wondering...

Changing subject: Does anyone know one of the DBAinSpace finalists?

There's no name I recognize as one of the Threadizens....

There's noone I recognize from this site, period. :crying:

Wasn't there a voting component to this? If so, who'd like some?

That's the whole point. Now the final 15 are known and the voting starts (continues).

Since I don't know anybody there, I don't havea clue who to help.

I know one of the folks but I'm not going to be blinded by that... I'm going to vote for the one that appears to be the most humble.

Ok so now I definitely don't have any chance in hell to win that contest :hehe:.

To be honest, I didn't enter... didn't even try to answer a single question. They wanted a "tweet" from outer space and I refuse to sign up. :-P:-D:hehe:

You are my brother from another mother, Jeff.

On the first occasion, I am buying.

The only valid countries are USA (except a few states), Canada (except Quebec), UK (except North Ireland) and Australia. (maybe one or two others too)

It's not good 🙁 It should be open for all...

That almost never happens. For legal reasons, most competitions that you find on the Internet are restricted to USA only. (also probably because they don't want to ship the prize to another continent :-))

I believe one of the strange legal issues is being able to offer the cash prize (and winners accept). There are some strange legalities regarding this in some places.

I'm not on Twitter either, though I'll likely sign up at some point. For a trip into space, however, even if I were really opposed to it I'd sign up, make the one tweet and quit. SPACE!

    I didn't try answering the questions 'cause I know I don't have a shot.

Tweeting isn't all bad. It's not like you are trying to become a tween again.

    The occasional tweet is ok.

Besides, there is a lot of SQLhelp available via twitter.

I tried the contest. I should have checked the rules first to verify that Florida residents were even qualified. I might have saved myself some heartache.

Most contests exclude Florida because this state's sweepstakes laws are too convoluted swim through and no one wants to deal with them.

I really hope that doesn't happen. I know it's a lot of money, but it's SPACE for God's sake!
