Hey, I like the condensed version of The Thread...Same here.
No offense if I forgot anything else. I didn't reread the whole 2 weeks either :hehe:.
Hmmm, if I knew you were presenting this summary, I would'nt have to go through 100 emails.
But thanks anyway 🙂
You know you can just open the FIRST one and read on through right? Saves a lot of time :hehe:
I've changed my forum settings, and I've noticed two things:
* my finger hurts from scrolling 🙂
* I see 5 times as much nonsense at the same time
Time for another trick. Buy a mouse with hyperscroll.
1 swing of the finger and he mouse can scroll for about 1 minute (free wheel scroller).
*cough* Page Down button *cough*
excuse me...
Too much work.
Also e-mail notifications usually brings you to the correct bookmark. Even less work :-D.

I know I know 😀
But I still have to read 10 pages here on the forum 🙂
I still don't get why you guys do email notifications. I just save the current page in my favorites, and overwrite it when I get caught up. No emails, lots of thready goodness.
Because if I want to check it throughout the day, the emails tell me there's something new to look at, so I'm not checking and seeing nothing. It also prompts me to take quick breaks from work at random intervals.

I had a very yell moment half a day ago, and I've been consigned to the doghouse.
Back in August I booked flights for me and Ann to get back to the UK for medical checks and stuff; for the last week, I've been telling Ann when she asks me (several times a day) that the flight was at about 8pm, and we'd be through customs at Manchester airport about 1am today. She spent a lot of phone time making arrangements to meet people while we were in the UK, and at lunchtime (about 13:20) opened her diary to enter all the agreed meets - to discover a note that we were taking the 13:15 flight. My name is mud. Even more mud because I booked on a no show no refund basis, and she counts the pennies against me as well as the pain. We will be flying on Saturday instead of yesterday. I may live it down by Christmas, or may not (the latter seems more likely). The only good thing is that I hadn't booked flights back here (because you can never tell how long the medics will take).
I urgently need advice on how to use dbcc timewarp to make my SQL Server installation warn me yesterday that I was going to screw up so that I didn't.
Ouch. If it makes you feel any better, I almost pulled something similar for our honeymoon. Accidentally must have hit the scroll on the mouse before I lost focus on the date, if we hadn't fried our laptop with the e-tickets a week before and had to call the airline (whereupon we discovered and corrected the issue), we would have missed our honeymoon flight by 24 hours...almost ended my marriage on the same day it began...:hehe:
Reminds me of when I booked the flight... to the wrong town!
I had to rent a mustang to drive the couple hours drive between the airports :-D.
at least it wasn't an Edsel
No it was like Miami instead of Orlando. Not sure about the former. It was a nice fun ride in that car in sunny weather. That's all I care to remember. 😎

The last time I went to Japan I was certain the flight left from Newark. We got a hotel near there and drove in in the morning. As we were checking for what gate, while still in the car, we realized it left from JFK. Fortunately they're close enough and we were early enough that we still made the flight, but boy did I feel stupid.

May I just say that at least one of us on this thread DOES get paid by the word on some of her jobs? 😉
And not much at that, so I have to cram as much BS in as I can.
