What is this query plan operator?
Out of context I can't help but think that's a 'You are here' sign in a hotel room.
Never stop learning, even if it hurts. Ego bruises are practically mandatory as you learn unless you've never risked enough to make a mistake.

What is this query plan operator? It depends. It could be a hash join, hash aggregate, flow distinct, or a union...
Really? Looks like a car going into a parking spot. I was trying to figure out what it had to do with SQL Server.

It's the 'before' operator for this one:
I don't think I've ever seen a Log Row Scan operator in the wild.

No - i have some very specific questions about query plan operators.
Ask one. I bet I can start an answer with 'it depends'...
What is the capital of Alaska?
Oh wait, you meant for query plan operators.
What is this query plan operator?
Why does the capital of Alaska depend? It's clearly "A"...

Anyone know a good source for on-line SSIS help?I'm having a problem with the speed of my main SSIS load package and would love to find out what I'm doing wrong or how to improve the speed. There don't seem to be many SSIS experts here, though we're rife with nearly every other kind of SQL Server expert. Or am I just posting in the wrong area?
You are just posting in the wrong area π
I monitor only the SSIS forums here for SSIS questions π
(yes, that was an "old" post I'm replying to. I'm very very busy cleaning up my mailbox with all the notifications from this thread :-))

But there isn't a 2008 SSIS forum!

It dawned on me that I have to fly 2000 miles east just to connect with Steve who is only 400 Miles East.

No, but there is a general SSIS forum in the Data Warehouse section π
(to be honest, that forum is not used frequently. The SSIS 2005 is the most active one, even for 2008 questions)
