Are the posted questions getting worse?

  • Hi, All. Back from the depths of DBA H E double toothpicks to briefly say "Howdy, Y'all" and hope your weeks have been going better than mine.

Space. The not-so-final frontier. I wanna go!!! I am so applying for this thing.

I am at the Presentation of Steve jones for the sql pass. MS supported event and guess what laptop Steve is using? An Apple.. 😀

And how many iPhones, iPads, Android tablets/phones and Macs have you seen around the conference? It's not a small number...

MVP summit several months back, about 1/3 of the audience (at MS campus) were taking notes on iPads.

Never got to go up and see the 4th of July Fireworks.

That would have been a treat.

I've done that and it wasn't as cool as I thought it would be. We ended up looking down at the fireworks against the ground so there was a lot of background "noise" and were further away than we would have been on the ground. I've only had that one experience though.

  • Here's a shot of Steve giving his presentation[/url]. If you look close, you can see his Kilt peeking out from behind the podium. Hope the link works, I got a flickr account just to post this shot.

What did you use to take that picture?

Steve looks like 1 of the aliens in Men In Black! Must have been abducted!

  • I just glanced at my Daytimer and see that this Sunday is "National Boss Day".

I don't know if that's just in Canada or not, so to be on the safe side, all of you should give your bosses the day off on Sunday.;-)

It appears to be true in the U.S. as well. I will definitely make sure to tell the boss.

I'll give it my best shot. No promises tho!

  • So this is the email I sent to my team:

    All,

October 16th is National Boss Day. In commemoration of this, I think we should give the day off to all the managerial types (names inserted here).

Take the day, folks. Don't answer your cell phone, don't check your email, have a nice meal or three, and just relax. The rest of IT can handle things on your wonderful day.

Heck, if you want, you can even go to church...

...Oh, did I forget to mention that October 16th is Sunday? @=)

    Happy Boss's Day, y'all.
