To proudly go where few have gone! Just how many people have gone into space? What an honor it would be to be a part of that elite few that have ventured beyond our atmosphere to gaze up on the Earth and heavens as no one else could.
... and then spent some hours cleaning the seat from their vomit.
No, thanks.

I don't mind flying. I had a co-worker take me up in his private plane twice. Once just the two of us, and again later as a birthday present for my oldest daughter he took me, and my older two daughters for a flight.

I would consider that space flight as the second best thing in my life, the first of course was being born to begin with.
In my past jobs, I kept a record of the actual air miles flown on business and pleasure trips, not those pumped up miles used by many for free seating or upgrades from tourist to business class.
Total to date 1,300,000 - and that is not a typo 1 million 300 thousand actual miles flown in commercial aircraft. Can remember commuting to work from Newark New Jersey to Buffalo New York, and returning to Newark each day a flight of 600 air miles, and doing that on a daily basis for 2 sold months of working days.
Had the excitment of having a pilot land, missing the runway and sliding on the grass strip located to the left of the pavement. Landing at an airport, in a plane that had lost use of its landing brakes, but the thrill of orbiting the earth would put those events in the shadows.
So, would have to orbit the earth a few times to beat that mileage, and would I enjoy it ... YOU BET I WOULD.

I know a few users I'd like to send into space.
Yup but the thing is they'll come back. Not really the best option for that.
I'd go with the death ray or something similar.

Round Trip = 2 One Way 😛
My dad used to fly when I was a kid.
Good memories.
Cessna 172, Beechcraft Bonanza, and twin engine Baron.
Always amazed me that you could get to some small airport in the middle of nowhere.
Never got to go up and see the 4th of July Fireworks.
That would have been a treat.

Redgate is sending a DBA to space. And somebody just tweeted asking if it was Grant "The Mon***" who was going to space. 🙂That's got to be the best prize ever!
For any interested - here is more info

It's only the best prize ever for someone who wants to go into space. I'm perfectly happy to stay within the atmosphere. Actually I'm also perfectly happy to keep my feet on the ground.
I *so* wish I had any chance at all of being able to win. But I don't, so I'll sit back and cheer on whoever does get to go!

Re-entry could take care of that pretty easily!

Well, yeah. And given your avatar, an affinity for large-scale death rays is sort of a given, isn't it?

I pretty much grew up at an airport. My dad bought a wrecked Aeronca Chief (that's a cloth covered two seater) when I was in kindergarten. We spent a couple years rebuilding it and many years flying it together. We flew out of an uncontrolled airport with a grass strip. Great memories!!!

Obviously :w00t:.
Now keep in mind that I'm at least 4-5 episodes away from that. But then again, don't tempt me! 😛

Well, if we're sticking to that, then it's not about death rays, it's about being one of the whiniest little annoyances to ever live. My chief thought when I see the pod race is, "too bad he didn't die a firey death in that thing, it would have saved that galaxy from a lot of whining and pouting!"
