Just sorted out the issue. It was doing parralelism. i asked them to rewrite the query. I have no intention of dropping the CL Index on that monster table. Tons of other report uses that CL Index.

Sure you don't need me there while you're away ;-)?

Redgate is sending a DBA to space. And somebody just tweeted asking if it was Grant "The Mon***" who was going to space. π

Chad, that is one neat idea you have of meeting all the Threadizens at the PASS Summit and having them sign your book. Classy!
It seems a little cheezy, but I did it last year and it ended up being a prize possession so I'm getting out of my quiet comfort zone and trying it again this year. Every time I look at last year's book, I remember the SSC party, Bob getting pork chops for Jeff, listening to Grant talk about DMVs, and going to dinner with the crew.
If you're here and I haven't seen you yet, or if I for some reason forgot to have you scribble something in the cover, please come find me!

It's only the best prize ever for someone who wants to go into space. I'm perfectly happy to stay within the atmosphere. Actually I'm also perfectly happy to keep my feet on the ground.

I wonder if they would allow you to cash out on the prize.

While that's funny, I can't imagine why anyone would ever want to do that. This is the coolest thing I've ever heard.

I'm scared to death whenever I fly with a "normal" flight, I can't even imagine how fast would my heart beat looking at a blue tennis ball outside the window and somebody saying "This is how Earth looks like from 100 Km".

Yeah, but just think how cool it'd be to be able to tell people "Oh yeah, I was in space. You ever been? You should go. Totally worth it."

Probably should purchase a lot of Redgate software to insure a retun trip

To proudly go where few have gone! Just how many people have gone into space? What an honor it would be to be a part of that elite few that have ventured beyond our atmosphere to gaze up on the Earth and heavens as no one else could.
