• DBA Certification preferred in SQL Server versions 2000, 2005, and 2008.• SQL Server DBA Certification 2000, 2005, 2008 is a plus
Sigh.
What's wrong with asking for two certs in each???
Even better would have been to require MCDBA in 2008 R2:-D

Hey can an execution plan expert (Grant?) take a look at this thread, http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic1181619-338-1.aspx. Interesting behavior noted in execution plan properties with SET ANSI NULLS.I am NOT an expert, but I'll take a look. Get Paul. He's an expert.
I am NOT an expert, but I'll take a look. Get Boris Baryshnikov. He's an expert. :laugh:
edit: added some comments to that thread
I'll be attenting a full day of sqlplan stuff on Oct 10th ...
Shall I add it to my bucket list ?
:w00t::hehe:
btw: No worries ... just teasing ... I'll be a good boy and behave ..... at least that's what I hope 😛

Hmm. Looking at the topics covered, and I'd really have to ask why you're not listed as one of the authors.... IMO, you are THE SME for fully half of those topics.
Congrats (and thanks for all the hard work!). I'm looking forward to this book - and it looks to be something that all accidental DBAs should have as their first reading assignment.

Because I wasn't one of the authors. Jonathan and Ted wrote the book between them (Jonathan mostly, Ted did 2 chapters). I was the tech editor. I added bits here and there, corrected mistakes, suggested additions, etc, but I didn't write the book.
