Took a bit to read through the discussion and decide if I wanted to go near it with a ten foot pole.I don't.
On a side note, looks like I may get back into Skydiving next weekend. Woohoo! :w00t:
I thought it was a nice civil disagreement/debate. We need more of that in the country. I think avoiding talking about this stuff has gotten us into a bad place. We have to be able to argue and disagree about things without hating each other.
Not that I'm asking for more political debates here, but if it comes up, nothing wrong with a little (meaning short, for Gail's sake), argument.
Oh, I'll agree with that, I just decided I wouldn't have the time to do it justice because of other constraints in my life if I jumped in the middle, and I couldn't see a short comment being valuable or contributive... so I just avoided it entirely.

@CraigDid you hear that Itzik Ben-Gan is teaching an advanced t-sql class here in Phoenix the week after pass? It's really pricey but I got my company to float the bill for me.
Good for you. I sat in on part of one of his PASS sessions in 2009 and my brain nearly exploded.
ditto !
I can't imagine a full week with him. I don't know where he comes up with the stuff he does.
He must have quite some armpit odor to make it all up :hehe:
But he is the Wiz that handles it all very smooth 😀
Needless to say I'm envious. Adam Machanic has him coming to Boston too, but I can't afford it and Adam won't let me in for free.:-P
I'm one of the +/- 3000 (?) that gets to go to #SQLPass in two weeks :w00t::w00t::w00t:
#sqlkilt included this year 😉

It has to be stated twice. Otherwise, no one will read it. @=)

Hey, anybody know any good developers in the North East Florida area (or Jacksonville) who have experience with Microsoft Workflow Manager and are looking for a new job? Or a good Server Admin who's also looking to change jobs?
My workplace has positions they're trying to fill (1 of each).

Not that I'm asking for more political debates here, but if it comes up, nothing wrong with a little (meaning short, for Gail's sake), argument.I don't mind political debates, and that was nice and civilised, it just seemed to be getting more into debating the phrasings and language used, and getting nowhere fast.
It only seemed that way because it was.

What's wrong with asking for two certs in each???

I'm only going to pursue this because I know Steve enjoys a good debate on the finer points of phrasing and language...
On reflection, perhaps these two bullets are asking for different things. The first seems to imply that certifications in all three of 2000, 2005, and 2008 would be preferred. The second condition reads to me as if 2000 and 2005 are definitely required, but 2008 would be beneficial.
Tom, where are you?

I think I got that same email. I didn't read the rest because it said Phoenix and I'm not allowed to move out of New England.

Hey can an execution plan expert (Grant?) take a look at this thread, http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic1181619-338-1.aspx. Interesting behavior noted in execution plan properties with SET ANSI NULLS.
