OK, who had 9/7/2011 in the end of the world pool?Hmm. Where's the incentive to win?
You get a billboard posted by a highway in the US, and don't have to take it down for months (e.g. the end of the world that happened in may).
Are there billboards for that still up?
Oh, that's right. Didn't they say "Wait, May? We meant October!" I'm surprised they still have cash to pay for them.
Yeah - we see some of those billboards around my area. This is the second time they have been wrong in the past couple of years.

The ultimate answer "it depends" applies here, too. If they didn't add the year to it, they still have one more chance before the "real" (or next?) end of the world (Dec 21st 2012)

Oh, they were very specific. Exact date and what would happen. Then somehow when it didn't happen, they said they got the date wrong. That's what they'll do in October when it doesn't happen again. Or maybe they'll just walk away like they did back in the 90s when the same guy failed in predictions then.
And, of course, 12/21/2012 is only the prediction of New Agers and others who completely misinterpreted what the Mayan's Calendar means.

Your birthday is 12/21? A good friend of mine has that same birthday. How do you feel about it being the shortest day of the year?

Did anybody have the guts to heckle her? I dont thinks anybody will but just asking. I wonder at the precon who will be scarier, Gail or Grant in a Kilt? 😉 (I think both of them will be intimidating) 😀

Talking of birthday coincidences, SQL Server MVP Rob Farley's birthday is 07/11 and mine is 11/07 (both DD/MM). His son's birthday is also 11/07.

If I'd known I'd have tried. Of course the trick is successfully heckling someone... which I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten far with.
Sorry I haven't been around much folks, my life is treating me like a punching bag along with some other personal issues, like significant oral surgery. I'll be back eventually.
Never stop learning, even if it hurts. Ego bruises are practically mandatory as you learn unless you've never risked enough to make a mistake.
