Yeah, I saw that one and I was tempted to add an evil reply...

Agreed. I made a few snide replies to his more vicious posts over at SQLTeam (before they locked his account), he never replied.

Honestly, can you blame him?
I'm not defending his forum attitudes, but walking away and ignoring the rest of the thread is probably better for his mental health and self-esteem. Not to mention it stops an incipient flame war in its tracks. Again ignoring what usually starts these attacks, we might all take a page from the "just walk away from it" book.

Is anyone else having problem with the font size of this site. For me the font is so small I can barely read it. All other tabs that I have open with other sites seems fine.

Check your zoom in IE. That setting is tab specific, not application level.

I do like that he starts his attack by accusing the other person of poor "netiquette"

I'm using figures from sources like the US Census Bureau, the US Department of Labor, and various Congressional reports.
...
Most of the people in the US have never encountered actual poverty and think it means you can't afford McDonald's Happy Meals for the kids 3 times per day.
Could you cite the official report that backs up this statement. This sort of sweeping generalization does not convey a well researched and statistically reliable argument. I personally have never heard any one in the US define poverty as "you can't afford McDonald's Happy Meals for the kids 3 times per day," but you claim most Americans do so.
Even the homeless here can easily get three meals per day
Again, I'd love to know how your source on this. Perhaps some homeless have an easy time procuring their nourishment, but you generalize to all the homeless. I had a family member who lived on the streets for years; and yes, he survived, and ate. But "easily"? After months of learning the ropes, he was able to figure out where to get one, sometimes two meals a day. This would often involve standing on lines for several hours, in the rain, in the freezing cold, etc. And after freezing for hours, the food would sometimes be gone before he made his way to the front of the line. Don't know that anyone would consider that "easy."
I've seen politicians here define "poverty" as not being able to afford the most recent, revolutionary medicines for non-critical illnesses.
Source, please? I'm with, Stef; I haven't heard a politician use this definition. I'd be curious to find out which ones are using it and what constituency they represent.

Hmm, just noticed that SQL Server Central t-shirts are on sale here. 'A little pricey at $27.00 though, but I still may pick one up. I feel the need to buy a geeky t-shirt. π

That is interesting. I think Steve should get us a few more design options from which to choose.

Uh, I guess the "spaghetti dba" should definitely buy this one, but I don't know how I would look like with it.π
ermmm that one is for the Junior Spaghetti DBA. Might be somewhat snug - even if you bought the large.
