I spotted this drinking establishment during a fleeting visit to Bradford, UK, and thought of this thread...

Actually, this is the fastest bar in the world as the guy who runs it is an MDP. When submitting your query you will need to specify your entire nights drinking as a batch, followed by a bulk insert. If you or your buddies attempt to return to the bar for another round your procession will be terminated by a sysbouncer.

Recovery has been outsourced to a nearby hospital.

    Steve.

Just thought it interesting regarding the MVP thread, that when he felt I was attacking him, he would respond. I apologized, just as I said I would if someone thought I was wrong regarding my interpretation of his statement, and nary a word of acknowledgement.

A part of me can see him chuckling while he sits at his computer.

Any way, time to move on.

You may be right, but I hope you are wrong. I have an "always give the benefit or the doubt" prejudice, especially when I see language problems (I have seen much misinterpretations caused by language problems, because that's where my work has taken me, so I tend to interpret bad English very carefully), and it could be that prejudice that makes me disagree with you on this one.

That's why I haven't said anything more there and simply moving onward.

Not a problem. I fully understand how perceptions play into things, that is one thing working as a Soccer Ref has taught me over the years.

This one is giving me heartburn. I almost ran something in Production that was supposed to be run on Dev yesterday because I didn't catch what instance the query opened up against.

I casted my vote (had another thread just like yours yesterday).

In the meantime you can install this. This allows you to change the background color based on the env. you are in.

I believe you can already change the color of the connection at the bottom of the query window with out-of-the-box SSMS.

    Anyway, +1 for connect item.

You just made my day. Half my time this morning doing a production rollout of a collection of stored procs that support one of our integration was eaten up checking and rechecking that I was connected to the correct server instance.

And all it really should have involved was running a few already-tested .sql files.

this is actually an example of where RBAR is a good thing. I prefer to get my drinks one after the other with pauses in between rather than all at once.

I went to Bradford once but it was shut.

Thanks for the links. The connect item has been closed as by design and I agree with that one.
