Fine then, one billboard coming up to announce it elsewhere.

EDIT: Sorry, that was too big.

Hmm - maybe we should put up a website.

Thankful that you received it, but we didn't need anyone else's validation of your impact. 🙂

Ditto. Like there was any doubt. Congrats!

Congratulations, Gail. This means that the top two non-employee posters for SSC have been selected again. 🙂

Congrat's Jeff! Now I'll say it: Was there ever any doubt?

Craig - I think we need another banner.

  • Thanks for the fine compliment, Jim. 🙂 Nah... no banners required. 🙂 Just raise a beer and toast this fine community of friends and professionals that we call SQLServerCentral where there are many "MVP"s that simply don't have the "badge" yet.

I'll buy you a beer at The Summit.

  • Unfortunately, I won't be at the Summit this year. None of my abstracts were accepted as "primaries" and, since I pay my own way, I can't afford to go unless my Summit tab is picked up by me being selected as a presenter. I can't do the "alternate" thing for the same reason. Normally, alternates are picked up at the last minute which means higher fares for the plane and the hotel. Can't afford that either.

As an MVP you get a generous discount, and if you can spare an hour or two to help out at one of the stands, you can get in for free...?

  • It's great to see many of SSC addicts have been granted MVP once more.

    Congratulations to you all.

Does anyone know about how to sign up to volunteer? I can't find anything about this on the PASS - Summit pages on the web site.

  • Volunteer for what?

What Paul mentions is MVP-specific stuff that come straight to us (eg spending time in the 'ask the experts', hosting a 'birds of a feather' lunch table, etc)

Grant should know about general summit volunteers, or you can look here: http://www.sqlpass.org/Community/Volunteers.aspx

Ahh, I see. I didn't connect both parts of Paul's statement to being for MVPs.

    Thanks Gail!

  • Yup. MVPs get a massive discount straight off and we get a whole bunch of opportunities to help out with various of the summit events to get a complete conference comp. Very nice deal for those who aren't speaking there.
