    Jim,

If I've read things right, you're going to the Summit? Do you know that Thursdays up there is "Kilt Day"? Grant started it... he can fill you in on it!

You've pretty much nailed it. Day 2 of the Summit is Kilt Day. Day 2 this year is Thursday. Wear a kilt, traditional or not, for no other reason than because we can and it's fun. Two years ago it was three people. Last year it was about 25. Hopefully this year we'll break 50 or more.

I don't have a kilt anymore. Mine was provided by the band and in the bands clan (Royal Stuart since we were a police band). My family's clan is Gordan.

So did 25 people rent a kilt (except Tom) or do most folks own one? What about the socks (and sock 'dressing' flag looking things which I forgot the name of), Skain Du, and sporran?

Most of us are not wearing traditional kilts. I have two utilikilts (almost 3, visited the store for the first time on Sunday).

You didn't do something drastic did you? πŸ˜€

Nah. My boss (MD of the consulting company) and laid out our issues and explained that we cannot and will not continue as present.

We'll be negotiating a revised agreement when I get back from London, at a much reduced time commitment and under very different conditions.

If your rates are right for the first half of that (and your rates should be), then I'm flabbergasted anyone would even consider having you do the second half of that!

What's with the watermark on our SSC ??

Is it webmaster fun, or is SSC changing logo ?

Where do you see this watermark?

I get to see it in the non-colour-filled spots like quotations, ... on the top right corner of the page

I added an image of what I get to see in the attachment on my original reply

When someone considers both the first half and the second half to be magic, they're not going to expend what little brianpower they have differentiating between levels of magic.

    Unfortunately true.

Except for those who have the skills for the second half, the workload of the second half, and the pay of the first half. Not unfortunate for them at all.

It is just a random set of wasted bits called Misc_Quotes.gif (attached) which is the background image for a div element with class "quote". (Defined in /forums/skins/classic/Style/Style.css)

    This is the "watermark":

And here it is with a blue fill so you can see the shape:
