Had a $%^& bug bite my hand while grabbing hay for the horses... now it's all swollen and I'm off to see the doctor.
(The "bright spot" in this is that this should give me several hours to work on reading the SQL 2008 Internals book...)

Someone please tell me the advantage to using RAR files over ZIP files. ZIP files are the defacto compression type... what does RAR do that ZIP does not (except tick me off ;-)).

WinRar is free as opposed to WinZip?
Is it possible to split a .zip file in multiple compressed files, as is possible with .rar?
