Nah, think I'll stick with Marcus for a while. Do need a better pic though. Will troll through the DVDs maybe this weekend.

My brain power is engaged by other things, so I can't place the reference. What show?

I knew I recognized the sig. Completely forgot about Marcus, though. And I shouldn't have. He was an amazing character. But it's been too long since I watched B5.

    My own two cents added.

    And sage advice it is!

When you encounter a problem, if the solution isn't readily evident go back to the start and check your assumptions.

Had a $%^& bug bite my hand while grabbing hay for the horses... now it's all swollen and I'm off to see the doctor.

(The "bright spot" in this is that this should give me several hours to work on reading the SQL 2008 Internals book...)

Ouch. Are you allergic to bug bites or was this just an extremely nasty bug?

  • Someone please tell me the advantage to using RAR files over ZIP files. ZIP files are the defacto compression type... what does RAR do that ZIP does not (except tick me off ;-)).

    --Jeff Moden

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

  • WinRar is free as opposed to WinZip?

Is it possible to split a .zip file in multiple compressed files, as is possible with .rar?

Need an answer? No, you need a question
