I missed out on Babylon 5 🙁 It fell during a period of years where I never had time for TV.

It's available on DVD. I highly recommend it. Excellent, excellent sci-fi show. I know Grant would agree with me

I just went to an interview and...full backup of the database filegroup is just like getting a full backup of the database

If he demonstrated that attitude in an interview, I wouldn't hire him either, never mind the distinction between full and filegroup backups
Did you notice that was the OP's first post? Better make sure you're right before venting here on a SQL topic!

I enjoyed it when I had a chance to watch it. I think I used to watch it at like 11:30 pm on Saturday nights where I was at, so I didn't catch it every week.

Did you notice that was the OP's first post?
Yup. It factored into my decision to 'challenge' him. I'm curious how he's going to reply.
Rule 1 of interviews, assume the interviewer knows more than you do.
In the past I've had a couple candidates go immediately onto the 'no-hire' list when they answered my questions in a condescending, superior, 'look-down-nose' kind of way

Thanks. That was Saturday.
Posting too much this week, but haven't got any work, so no big deal.

I just sent "she who must be obeyed" the link you provided.
We'll see if I get it as a gift sometime this year.

Yeah, congrats. I'm looking forward to (hope I haven't missed) the Simple-Talk article on Profiler and Execution Plans. Profiler is probably my favorite tool, mainly because I've spent a bit of time learning about it, so I like to read more about it so I can find what I've missed.
I just submitted an Intro to Profiler article to SSC this week which I plan to be part 1 in a about 5 about Profiler and server-side traces. My writing project(s) for the year.

Hey Gail, Congrats. And I read your interview.
I did like the part where you talked about bad advice. And that has always been on my mind when ever I am answering someones question. I do not want to give anyone bad advice and that too dangerous advice. It is not just about what other posters will think of me, it is what damage I have caused by giving that bad advice.
