    Star Trek (the Original)

My mother loves both that and Thunderbirds.

Gail, Low blow aimed at Lynn... πŸ™‚

I remember Star Trek Original though.

I remember ST original. Isn't that on TVLand now?

    That's the thing.

I remember watching both The Monkeys and Original Star Trek as a kid, but they were both in reruns at that point. And I think they were for Brandie too. Starblazers was on around the time those reruns were playing.

Of course, I also remember watching Get Smart, McHales's Navy, Sgt. Bilko, Gilligan's Island, Life of Riley, Car 54, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, etc... but that was all reruns when I was a kid.

The shows that more accurately date me are the ones I watched in First Run: WKRP, Taxi, M*A*S*H, Magnum PI, Rockford Files, Buck Rogers, Battlestar Galactica, Bob Newhart, Mary Tyler Moore, Happy Days, etc...

Of these (Get Smart, McHales's Navy, Sgt. Bilko, Gilligan's Island, Life of Riley, Car 54, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, etc...) I probably saw Sgt Bilko and Car 54 as reruns and remembering them, but the others I saw and remember as first run shows. You could also include Gomer Pyle USMC, The Adamms Family, The Munsters, Lost in Space.

Go Uncle Herman!!! (Extra points for anyone who can figure that one out. Kit, you don't qualify.)

Stefan's list sounds like what I remember seeing. Used to have every episode of M*A*S*H memorized.

The Munsters - easy cheesy lemon squeezy.

MASH is the best of the list so far. I remember all of those shows except Bilko and Life of Riley. I must have watched them all in rerun though.

Yes, The Munsters, but the reason I call him Uncle Herman is because there's a (contested) relationship there. Check the last names involved.

Starblazers was on when I was much older. My Dad would wake me up three hours before it was time to go to school (when he got up to get ready for work) because I wanted to watch that show so bad. And this was way before recording devices. @=)

According to my Mom, my memories of The Monkeys were during the original broadcast. She said it was the only time us kids would stay still. @=)

Be very careful that you only get the American release of Battle of the Planets/GForce. If you get Gatchaman (The original Japanese) or versions that have all the Japanese footage it is a very different show. Violent and bloody as hell. 7 Zark 7 and 1 Rover 1 were invented (or at least their roles greatly expanded, I don't remember which) for the American release to fill the time missing from all the fighting. That's also why you'd see the same scenes over and over.

Never heard of G-Force other than the Disney Guinea Pig movie.

I heard Disney was doing G-Force and got all excited.

Then I found out it was about guinea pigs and I was like "WHAT?" It broke my heart. I never did go see it because of that.
