I'm not sure I really want to get involved in this one (old friend), let's see if he does the prereq reading.
He's got something using virtual memory (specifically the MemToLeave), reducing space for the backup buffers, probably also causing the crash by interfering with the thread stacks. Complex area though.

Heh, I'm sure I don't want to. If he's your friend, I'm afraid of your enemies. How do they remember to breathe?

Ayup.
On another topic. Anyone out there know of a site or something that will help me compute what the storage length is for different numeric/decimal combinations? I'm having an argument with FLOAT right now.
This is the best I've found so far but I'd like to see some corroboration. This seems too easy:
Length: The specified precision plus 2. For example,
the length of DECIMAL(12, 3) is 14 bytes. The two
additional bytes are used for the sign and the
decimal points because functions return this data type
as a character string.

I swear I went through msdn three times and didn't find that.
I kept finding this:

EDIT: Sorry, thank you for the links. My google-fu has failed me now. And yes, your sarcasm was quite obvious, I was just trying to be a wise-***.

I had an advantage, I knew those pages were there. Spent some time recently educating a developer as to how the numeric types worked.
p.s. Pre-req reading apparently not done. Relevance of reply in question. Signing off for the night.

Whoa! What? You're a youngster and you don't live in a cave, how is it that an old <insert inappropriate term here> like myself knows what rickrolling is?Somehow, Grant, I think I'm older than you are. @=) But thanks for the compliment.
I'd take that bet. I haven't broken 50 yet, which is why I love having Jeff & Allen White around, so someone is older than me, but I'm generally 10 years older than the oldest people I'm hanging around with at these events. Some of the punks like Johnathan Kehyias & Jess Borland can be down right frustrating they're so young.
Hmm. Really. Well, we might not be that far off in age after all.
Let's compare references, shall we?
Starblazers
Thunderbirds
The Monkeys
Do you remember any of the above?
Scooby Doo is almost as old as I am. No cheating and looking it up now. Take a wild guess how long this property has been around.

Race Bannon & Hadji, yes. I remember that. But I'll admit I saw that one in re-runs when I was about seven.
Jan and Jace. My favorite characters from Space Ghost. I don't remember when I first saw that. I was pretty young.
