Every once in a while, I am reminded by circumstances to thank everyone here and out there anywhere who takes the time to help others out in their professional capacity. Your willingness to share knowledge and help us all bootstrap our abilities is truly amazing and inspiring.Because of what you do, and what it has inspired me to do in my humble capacity, I am being recognized and rewarded at work, which was never my intent (seeking kudos), but is simply a side-effect of working to be more useful to others.
THANK YOU!!! π
Congrats

A very hearty "Congratulations" and "Thank You!" right back for being one of those good people who also share the knowledge and deliver more than expected. π

First of all, as it is international woman day, congrats to all those woman out here!(who for some bizarre reason love to work in an industry dominated by men :-))
Hey, loving what you do isn't bizarre - and is a perfectly good reason to be in this industry! π

That's fair enough, but....
some of us men would prefer to work in and industry dominated by women. π
The scenery tends to be better. :hehe:

It depends who you work for. Our web designers live on the pod in front of me, their generous screens face my way. Now this being a (primarily) lingerie company for the better-endowed female, just looking up can cause serious loss of focus. It's not just their screens, there are huge posters all over the office, which we share with accounts. This is my last week here and I think I'm going to miss it!

All depends on the type of scenery you happen to like.
(Not talking about kilts, nope.)

I happen to like kilts and guys in kilts (as long as they are wearing the socks, that is. :-)) I think it's a sexy look. But then, that's probably the the Scottish blood in my ancestry talking as I also happen to like bagpipes.

Ditto, but in my case the Scottish blood is a few generations back.

Ah, yes, loss of tone in text - I was trying to imply that I *do* like kilts (when properly worn). It's quite sexy.
Then again, I also like bagpipes as well - and I've got no Scots ancestry that I'm aware of. π

*sigh* I know I'm a little short tempered due to lingering jetlag (first time I've still been struggling to sleep 3 days later), but I really didn't need three replies so far today (2 here, one elsewhere) telling me to read the question before replying.

Ah, that explains a few things. I'd wondered who'd pissed in your cheerios yesterday, and was just glad it wasn't me. π I've had insomnia like that, it sucks horrendously. My sincere sympathy.
I won't bore you with a thousand home remedies, but, perhaps I should call you and lull you to sleep with my voice by reading The Thread to you one post at a time from the beginning of time? It'll either bore you to sleep or make sure you're enjoying being awake. :w00t:
(In all seriousness, I use Nyquil when I get to that point, just to knock my butt over into the pillows.)
Never stop learning, even if it hurts. Ego bruises are practically mandatory as you learn unless you've never risked enough to make a mistake.

Have no idea if it really works, somewhat of a home-body, but bright lights are supposed to help reset your clock. Point the lamp at your head, or take the shade off and see if that works. (not a joke, I swear, although it sounds like it)
