  • Flash Gordon...Brings back old memories. I have never seen the series but I used to read the comics back then. Flash with the Doc. Mandrake with Luthor nd Phantom with his trusted devil....:D

    Those were the times...;)

Hey Bob and Jeff, I got some really cold beers and BBQ in the fire.... I am using ISO for making fire...:hehe:

  • song lines now? Flash Gordon?

I rented that for my kids last year. They loved it.

Of course, there are areas where egos are strong, RBAR solutions for one (right Jeff!).

Heh... no ego there... I let the code do the talking, as all should.

Funny that you mention "RBAR"... if you pronounce it like a lot of folks do... "R-BAR"... and then stretch out the "R"... "RRRRR-BAR"... it almost sounds like "Our Bar". πŸ™‚

Over the last couple of days, there have been some pretty arrogant folks showing up. Both thought that they're somehow better than "Joe-bag-of-donuts" in one fashion or another with a suggestion of an "expert special place" or just outright ad hominem attacks. I sure am proud to be a part of the on-line family of people that just don't put up with that stuff... we don't need an "expert special place"... heh... we already have it and, unlike the proposal, newcomers of any skill level are absolutely welcome. The great thing about it is we don't tolerate any ring knocking... it damages the shine of the counter at the bar. πŸ˜›

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

Cool... I love BBQ pork chops although the EPA may get after you for making obnoxious fumes by burning ISO's... πŸ˜›

  • Oh definitely yeah. At the very least I would have insisted that the OP type "wud" correctly.

Heh... I was trying to figure out a way to say that I won't touch Mike's posts anymore because he consistently demonstrates that he has no interest in actually learning and it always turns out that someone has to write all of the code for him. This guy ain't no newbie no mo' and should know better. In that latest post, he didn't even know why Flo was putting single quotes around the string literal of 'Y' for yes. Flo took it in stride, but she ended up having to write code to demo it... of course.
