Well, had a nice adventure today. Water cut off mid-morning, took my daughter to the doctor so they could diagnose flu, and while thawing a pipe this afternoon with a heat gun, it thawed.Course, I got a faceful of water in the process.
Plumber on the way.
in which episode of "dirty jobs" will you appear :w00t:

This is a weird thread:

Apparently, halfway through the topic, the OP changes of user.
And then some guy walks in "hacking the question".
Weird stuff...

Never fear, Threadzians. Apparently people are working to keep the internet from being blocked by politicos. See this Yahoo! News item for more details. That's cool I wonder if they'll be using RFC 1149?
I hope not - that's very out of date, superceded nearly 12 years ago by RFC 2549 which attempts to address the QoS issues experienced with RFC 1149.
I love the "Plus Avian Carriers may try to eat the NATs" line.

Bad luck. I thought you americans are supposed to be good at designing for and handling bad winters. Its us Brits who get surprised by frozen pipes, for the past 3 years. And they tell us "it only happens once every 25 years" so its not worth planning for.
