I just noticed I hit 10k "points" on SSC today. Good way to end the year, as it were.
Congrats Gus! (Man, everyone is passing me!)

Well, as I live and breath... How the heck are ya, Barry?! Long time no "see"!

It's a symptom of the "something for nothing" society that we live in these days. Kids don't want to buy a ticket to go to the movies, anymore, because they can download them off the internet for free. They can download term papers off the internet and hand them in as their own. Why should they learn anything when they can just get someone else to tell them how to do it, or even get someone else to do it for them?

Welcome to 'The Thread' which, in the year or so since its creation become something of a general chat topic where just about anything can come up.

Happy New Year all! Hope none of you had to work over the holiday weekend.
Gus, congrats on 10K. Shows some perseverance. A year ago I thought I'd be there now too, but haven't been as active.
Barry, glad to hear you are alive and, hopefully, well.

Hey, lookit that! We all managed to roll out of bed and into the new year. We should be proud of ourselves!
And all I have to look forward to is fighting with the Cube from Heck. @=) Oh, well.
Oh, wait. Anyone have anything they'd like to see in the upcoming 24hop (March)? I believe a deadline for abstracts is coming up...

For anyone following the earlier infringment discussion, some sleuthing around SSC finally revealed the blog owner. A brief PM conversation seems to have dealed with that issue.
Happy New Year! Gods, New Years is a mixed blessing for me. It's also my birthday. This last one was a biggie to me. 35 years old. I expected to be somewhere else at this point in my life. *cracks knuckles* I'z got wurkz ta due.
Never stop learning, even if it hurts. Ego bruises are practically mandatory as you learn unless you've never risked enough to make a mistake.
